Jimmy Kelly's Steakhouse: A Premier Destination for Steak Lovers in Nashville

Tonight was our first time at Jimmy Kelly’s for our 16th Anniversary and it was excellent. The hostess wished us a happy anniversary and we were able to be seated before our reservation time. Our server, Jeff, was great! He was knowledgeable, kind and friendly. Our food was 10/10. The steak was cooked perfectly. Everything came out quickly. The atmosphere was the perfect balance of dim and cozy, but bright enough to see around you. We will be back to Jimmy Kelly’s again.

If you’re in Nashville and want a great steak with a unique atmosphere this is the place! The food was great but the service was outstanding. Brian was our waiter and his knowledge of the menu and friendliness made our experience even better. Not to mention they have extensive gluten free options. My husband’s steak was over cooked and they corrected his order immediately and offered a dessert on them. Our steaks were amazing and the sides are enough to feed a small army. We will definitely be coming back when we get back to Nashville.

Our dining experience at Jimmy Kelly’s was outstanding, with a mature and attentive waiter who excelled in service. The steak, Mac and cheese, and potatoes were all expertly prepared and presented. The entire meal was delicious!!

First time coming here and absolutely enjoyed everything! The server was attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. Food was exceptional…. Dessert we got to go. The carrot cake was phenomenal.

Second time coming here. It’s becoming a favorite. The staff is friendly and the food comes out in a timely manner. The food is always good and those complimentary pancakes SLAP!!! Protip: Save 10$ and go with the bootleg. It’s better than the Cowboy.

Love love love this place! We visited from florida and had server Tyranny, let me tell you his service was impeccable and very detail oriented . He knew the menus made excellent recommendations and was attentive to all our needs. He is a hidden gem in this place ! I highly recommend him as a server and will be back again .. and guaranteed I will be going to ask for him . Top notch! 5/5 !

I want to write an entire book about Jimmy's, but alas, it would be drowned out by the vast crowd of influencers who need Tiktok content to pay for their dog's spa treatment. We visited on 10/26/25 for our four-year anniversary, and our server's name was... I kid you not... Jimmy. That being said, this place has been around for going on 100 years, and there are so many reasons as to why. This is, to this day, a privately owned one-off restaurant - and it shows in the definitive experience, ambience, and quality that they've cultivated since 1934. Complimentary champagne and a little personalized card was already there upon our arrival for the special occasion. Since we knew the moment we saw it that we'd be getting a tomahawk, we stuck with the cornbread and escargot as light appetizers. Both were very tasty, and even the homemade spread for the cornbread was excellent. The variety of cocktails available here is great, with those we tried being flavorful and done with exquisite care. The tomahawk itself was cooked to exact request, and the side dish we ordered was up to the same pristine standards. As a thank you for spending our anniversary with them over 200 miles from home, our server Jimmy even bought us dessert. The creme brulee was a beautiful finisher that once again maintained the same meticulous standard the rest of the meal had followed. At the end of the day we agreed that we'd make this drive again just to enjoy Jimmy Kelly's as a dining experience... and to see Jimmy, of course. Have you been putting this one off? Don't. Huge mistake. Book that reservation and go, you have my word you will absolutely not regret it.

We came here for our 32nd anniversary. The valet quickly took care of our vehicle. The hostess greeted warmly when we entered and wished us a Happy Anniversary. They escorted us to our table right away. Our room did not have any other guests and we felt like we had our own private dining area. Our server was very polite, answered our questions and provided suggestions. We split a Caesar Salad which they divided onto two plates for us. My wife had the 8-ounce Filet Mignon with the Roasted Garlic Butter sauce and it was prepared just the way she wanted it. I had the 22-ounce Cowboy Steak with the Brandy Peppercorn sauce and it did not disappoint. We split the Creamed Corn Brulée. They provided us with JK Seasonal Cheesecake to go, and it was delicious. I also enjoyed the Kelly’s Classic Old Fashioned and my wife enjoyed the house wines. Overall, we really enjoyed our evening with Jimmy Kelly’s.
